Leadership is an inside job. Leadership is the visionary clarity, creativity and power that you possess by way of being human. Leadership is generated through the connection to your self and to presence. Leadership is independent of the formal authority that you are assigned by a position in the hierarchy or system. In this leadership seminar, we work with the assumption that effectively leading ourselves is the key to leading change and making a societal impact at large.

Embodiment means that you lead with your whole being and have full access to your IQ (cognitive intelligence), your EQ (emotional intelligence) and your BQ (body intelligence). Embodied Leadership is beyond words. It is the experience of how you are showing up in presence and in your full aliveness as a human being. In other words, you measure your leadership by what and how you actually experience yourself living your every day life at work - and everywhere else. The embodiment practices taught in this course are simple and practical. They are available to all levels of physical ability.

Session 1: The Nervous System

Our leadership is a mirror of the state of our nervous system. In this first session, we‘ll dive into some of the basics of neurobiology. We‘ll explore how the five leadership archetypes map to our nervous system. We’ll slow down to see how we embody these archetypes in everyday life at work and beyond. 

Session 2: Leading With Our Body Intelligence (BQ) 

As human beings we have the ability to shift our nervous system from a state of threat into a state of presence. The body is the most direct and effective gateway to presence. In this session, we explore our body intelligence and we‘ll take some time to design our own personal shift moves that we can practice with going forward.

Session 3: Leading With Our Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

We can actively train and use the intelligence of our hearts to fall back into presence. In this session, we recognise that what we cannot shift what we reject in ourselves. We explore embodied acceptance practices and the wisdom of the generous heart towards ourselves and others.

Session 4: Leading With Our Cognitive Intelligence (IQ)

Nothing threatens our nervous system like our own thoughts and stories. Our highly trained IQ‘s like to produce plans, ideas, concepts, critical analysis and expectations. But our thinking mind is a volatile instrument for our decision-making. In this session we explore how we can use our IQ’s to serve us from a state of presence with trust and curiosity. 

There are no prerequisites for this course other than your openness and curiosity.

Embodied Leadership is inspired by some of the 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership. They are the cornerstones of a successful framework embraced by purpose-driven leaders all over the world.
